Terms of use

Version 2026-10-16 — last updated: October 16, 2026

1. Purpose

These Terms govern access to and use of the KlipHunt service, published by ILLITH ("the publisher"). KlipHunt follows the Twitch live streams of the channels you add, spots highlights (from the audio, the public chat and an artificial intelligence analysis) and helps you produce short vertical videos ("shorts").

The publisher is identified in the legal notice. Financial terms are set out in the terms of sale.

2. Acceptance and version

By creating an account, you accept these Terms in the version in force (2026-10-16). The version and date of your acceptance are recorded. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

3. Account

  • You must be of legal age, or have your legal guardian's consent, and provide a valid email address.
  • An account is personal. You keep your password confidential and you are responsible for actions taken from your account.
  • Only one free trial is granted per person. Creating several accounts to obtain several trials is prohibited.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the settings.

4. Your representation and warranty about captured content

This is essential. You capture, clip and publish at your sole responsibility. When you add a channel or use content with KlipHunt, you represent and warrant that:

  • you only capture, clip and publish live streams of which you are the streamer, or for which you hold the valid written authorisation of the rights holder;
  • you hold all the rights required over what the stream contains, for the use you will make of the shorts: the game (images, sounds, protected assets of the game's publisher), the music, the voices and likeness of people who are visible or audible (guests, teammates, viewers), and any other protected content;
  • you can provide these authorisations upon request from the publisher;
  • the information you provide is accurate.

The publisher may suspend monitoring of a channel as soon as it receives a credible claim.

5. Compliance with Twitch, YouTube and other platforms

Compliance with platform terms is your responsibility. You agree to comply with the terms of service, community guidelines and copyright rules of Twitch and YouTube, and of any other platform where you publish your shorts (TikTok, Instagram, etc.), including the YouTube Terms of Service when you connect your channel. KlipHunt reads public live data (audio track and public chat); if you link your Twitch account or connect your YouTube channel, it also uses the accesses you grant (see the privacy policy). The publisher cannot guarantee that Twitch or YouTube will keep their data accessible.

6. Prohibited uses

You must not, in particular:

  • monitor, capture or publish a third party's channel without their authorisation;
  • publish unlawful content: infringement of others' rights (copyright, neighbouring rights, image rights, trademarks), defamation, hateful, violent or discriminatory speech, content harming minors;
  • bypass technical protections, ads, subscriptions or a platform's restrictions, or those of the service;
  • resell, redistribute or monetise other people's clips without the rights holder's written consent;
  • misuse chat messages to identify, harass or profile viewers;
  • attempt to access other users' data, disrupt the service or deliberately overload it;
  • resell the service or make it available to third parties without written consent.

7. The publisher's role: a technical tool

KlipHunt is a technical tool. The publisher does not choose the channels you monitor, does not check in advance the content you capture, edit or publish, and has no general obligation to monitor it. For content you upload and that is stored at your request, the publisher acts as a host within the meaning of Article 6 of French Law No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 (LCEN): its liability can be engaged only if it had actual knowledge of manifestly unlawful content and did not promptly remove it.

8. Reporting content and takedown

To report content you consider unlawful or infringing your rights, write to ILLITH, 101 rue Bouthier, 33100 Bordeaux, France (by post) stating: your identity, a precise description of the content and where it is, the grounds for the report (with the legal basis) and, where relevant, proof of your rights. The publisher reviews the report and promptly removes or disables access to manifestly unlawful content, then informs the user concerned. In case of repeated abuse (repeated well-founded claims, lack of rights), the publisher suspends or closes the account (section 13).

9. Content, licences and automatic publishing

  • Streamers and rights holders keep all their rights over their content.
  • You grant the publisher, only for as long as necessary, a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process this content (capture, transcribe, analyse, edit, store temporarily) in order to provide the service. The publisher does not use your content for any other purpose.
  • The shorts produced are delivered to you. You alone decide whether to publish them and you are responsible for them.
  • Automatic publishing. If you enable auto-publishing, KlipHunt publishes shorts to your channel according to your settings, without your prior approval of each short. You bear all its effects: published content, platform, title, description, related rights. You can turn it off at any time.
  • Texts, hooks and voices generated by artificial intelligence may contain errors. Review them before publishing.

10. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify the publisher against any claim, legal action or sanction by a third party (streamer, rights holder, platform, authority) related to the content you capture, edit or publish with KlipHunt, or to your breach of these Terms. This covers damages, reasonable defence and legal fees, and the consequences of platform sanctions (removal, suspension or loss of access to an account). It does not apply to damage caused by the publisher's own fault.

11. No guaranteed results

KlipHunt is an assistance tool. The publisher does not guarantee that a moment will be detected, that a short will go viral, or any number of views, followers or revenue. Detection depends on the quality of the stream, the chat and third-party AI models.

12. Availability

The service is provided "as is", under a best-efforts obligation. It may be interrupted for maintenance, incidents or changes by a third-party provider (Twitch, YouTube, OpenRouter, etc.). A moment missed during an interruption cannot be recovered, because the video buffer is limited (see the privacy policy).

13. Suspension and termination

The publisher may suspend or close an account, after a warning except in urgent cases, if you breach these Terms, in particular lack of rights over a channel, a prohibited use, repeated abuse of reported content, free-trial abuse or unlawful use. In case of serious breach, suspension may be immediate. Financial consequences are described in the terms of sale.

14. Liability

The publisher is not liable for your use of the shorts, nor for platform decisions (removal, demonetisation, sanctions). To the extent permitted by law, where liable, the publisher's liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage, up to the amounts you paid to the publisher over the last twelve months.

This limit does not apply in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by the publisher, nor to bodily injury, nor to rights the law reserves to consumers. Nothing in these Terms excludes a liability that cannot be excluded by law.

15. External notifications

If you configure a Discord webhook, KlipHunt sends the details of a detected moment (title, excerpt, link) to that address. You are responsible for the chosen Discord channel and its members.

16. Changes to these Terms

The publisher may change these Terms, which changes their version. You will be informed by email or in the app at least 30 days before a material change takes effect, and you will be asked to accept the new version. If you refuse it, you may delete your account before that date.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, first contact ILLITH, 101 rue Bouthier, 33100 Bordeaux, France (by post). Failing agreement, the courts designated by law have jurisdiction; for a consumer, this may be the courts of their place of residence. Consumers residing in another country keep the protection of the mandatory rules of their country.

18. Language

In case of discrepancy between versions, the French version prevails.
